Mission Values & Beliefs

Hazel’s personal values are evident throughout her work and guide anyone who works for her.

Our corporate mission is to enable organisations to be more compassionate and socially connected places to work, with a resourced, respected workforce where everyone feels equipped to handle whatever life serves up.

We are passionate allies for social justice and for equality, diversity and inclusion; and this is woven through our work.  We believe the world might be a nicer place if people were a little more connected and kind – so that is how we work.

Our way of working is underpinned by four core values, they are a fundamental part of everything we do.

Our beliefs and values guide our choices.

People Matter

People are at the heart of everything.

We treat every person we work with, with respect, honesty, and kindness.  We don’t judge; we listen to understand what life is like in your shoes, and we’ll always believe you. That is how we behave, and it is what we ask of others.

Kindness and candour are not mutually exclusive, so we will never shy away from having tough conversations – we just do it kindly and with compassion.

We know that being vulnerable takes strength, and courage.  We work hard to create safe spaces for conversations that matter.

We also endorse the importance of emotional maturity in business – it should be a given, yet it’s often not.

Constantly Curious

Ok, yes, we are a bit geeky because we love learning about people. But let’s face it, people are fascinating! And organisations are like big messy families of people – which is intellectual catnip to us. We have a deep love of psychology and the impact it can have in business. We’ve seen the benefits of teams who learn to collaborate effectively, with leaders who lead with humility and compassion, reporting to boards who inspire with vision and purpose.

When things go wrong, it is rarely the business model. It is usually poor behaviours, poor culture, lack of direction or clarity, absent feedback, avoidance of conflict, or too much conflict.  People being people unfortunately. Fortunately – that’s where we shine.

Quietly Brilliant

It isn’t our style to shout about what we do or use pushy marketing techniques. Our results speak for themselves, and we are here when you are ready to talk.  We have an ‘anti-spam’ pledge – anyone who trusts us with their email will not find themselves spammed with junk. We only send you what you have asked for, when you asked for it.  We will ask your permission to stay in touch – not just because GDPR says so, but because it’s polite.

You may notice that our social media presence from our YouTube channel, to LinkedIn and twitter is also a bit muted.  We don’t think you need to see pictures of our lunch, or our ‘best life’ pictures.  Like most quiet people, saying nothing doesn’t mean we have nothing to say. But when we do share, we try to make it count.

We do the right thing

We want to make a difference and work ethically and sustainably. We are prepared to make the right choice, even if that’s the hard choice.

Everyone is human, and mistakes are made – but we are open and honest and will work with you to find a solution if we muck up.  We ask the same of you.

We are working towards Carbon Net Zero and eliminating single use plastics.  We recycle, upcycle and you’ll see innovative recycled products being used throughout our materials from acoustic panels that used to be plastic bottles to the clips on our wooden pens that used to be vending machines!
